The Dinner dress, circa 1867, worn over an eyelet ruffle trimmed petticoat and bustle, will be constructed of changable Red/Maiz silk taffeta. The silk fringe, hand-made trimmings and decorative buttons topped with a matching headdress complete this clasically elegant gown. Kit will include all fabrics, patterns and instructions. A companion kit for a co-ordinating silk velvet Paletot and hat will be offered. This ensemble is absolutely perfect for winter entertaining and visits.

This garden dress circa 1870 is perfect for a romantic pic-nic on the lawn under old majestic oak trees draped with spainish moss.(our hotel is located on the river front on Saint Simone's Island in just such a place. Magnificent!). The costume is as light as a cloud with lace, rufflels and layers of sheer batiste over an 1800's style cotton print, all trimmed in lucious velvet ribbon. A true confection topped with a co-ordinating straw bonnet.
