This lovely cotton day dress was the project offered at UFDC headquarters October, 2011.

The beautiful silk gown was inspired by an original Rohmer dress worn by an antique doll owned by one of the Eugene Doll Club members.

The workshop project was inspired by the fan box lid shown above. It is an 1870's style lush willow yellow silk gown with red trim, lace and ribbons.
The color combination is unusual to the contemporary eye, though very stylish in it's time. Note the contrast of the turquoise jewelry.

This promenade dress is circa 1868. It has a bodice and draped overskirt of green silk taffetta worn over a striped silk skirt. A velvet beaded hat is the perfect accessory. All Materials needed, pattern and instructions are included in the kit.
